We love seeing the beautiful variety of types and styles of celebrations that come our way – and we always feel so humbled and overjoyed when couples share their special days with us here at Whimsical Wonderland Weddings, especially when the photos are as full of fun, laughter, and love as these are today.
Frank and Crystal chose to tie the knot at the groom’s family home in Richfield, a wonderfully green and spacious backdrop for their carnival extravaganza! The couple embraced the outdoor and rustic setting, with – not one, but TWO – bell tents welcoming their guests. This allowed them to create a journey from the whimsical, romantic ceremony, to the elegant dining tablescape, and then back to the first tent for myriad indulgent desserts. And yet, the elegant hanging floral décor, twinkling bistro lights, and meticulously crafted stationery are just one side of the story – a few steps outside, and the festival begins. Food and pizza trucks, oversized lawn games, ice cream, and hot air balloon rides – and dancing into the early hours – are just some of the highlights of Frank and Crystal’s wonderland.
Sit back, and enjoy the captures of Making the Moment Photography!

Food trucks. Oversized lawn games. Hot air balloon rides. TWO tents. Epic doesn’t begin to describe Frank and Crystal’s black tie carnival wedding.
It’s super easy to go straight for the hot air balloon rides and skip over all of the jaw-dropping details of this wedding so we’re not going to do that here.
Let’s start with the setting. Frank’s family home in Richfield was a perfect backdrop for the multiple tent concept that we developed with Scott from Everything Tented. The ceremony was set in the round and The Budding Tree went above and beyond with beautiful, hanging floral décor. Draping from Party Décor gave the tent a whimsical and romantic look which was finished off with lovely bistro lights from the Rock the House crew.
The dinner tent was set to perfection with beautiful table top rentals and linens from Event Source, striking chandeliers, and stationery details from Blue Envelope. Again, Erin from the Budding Tree did not disappoint with the stunning floral centerpieces.
The menu for Frank and Crystal’s wedding was like no other. The pig roast through Driftwood Catering was a showstopper and guests loved Barrio and Fire Truck Pizza trucks. I think it’s safe to say no one left hungry!
As guests grazed on scrumptious culinary treats and enjoyed giant lawn games, hot air balloon rides, and the amazing Bar – Sweetwater Caravan – the ceremony tent was flipped for the dancing portion of the evening with a lounge and lots of desserts including three cakes from Luna, ice cream from Piccadilly and a giant donut wall! As the sun set, guests made their way back to the dancing tent and the Rock the House team kept the dance floor energized all night!
Thank you to Making the Moment’s photo and video teams for capturing this unforgettable affair so flawlessly!
